- I am a practicing physician and author living in central Vermont with my lovely wife Lisa and our four kids. Nine years ago, I picked up a pencil on a Saturday night and started writing a novel on an old college notebook I found underneath the sofa. Most of the manuscript ended up in the filter of my sister-in-law's pool the following spring--true story--but it was too late for me; I needed to keep writing. Nine years, three manuscripts, and one awesome literary agent (Liz Kracht of Kimberley Cameron & Associates) later, I am still at it. My latest book, The Intern, is a medical thriller in the tradition of Tess Gerritsen and Michael Palmer.
